Starting blog site with my domain name from another host

  I’d like my blog address here on wordpress NOT have ‘wordpress.com’ in the address. I believed I followed the correct directions, but it appeared that it would have ‘wordpress.com’ along with it. I wanted to choose the $8/month Premium Account.
  I am not understanding, can someone help me? Thanks in advance!

  To remove the “wordpress” from your address, you can add a custom domain to your site. Adding a custom domain will require that you upgrade to one of our paid plans.
