  I just started my blog and for some reason when I go to stats, it is not recording any visits, even though a couple of friends already visited it. I tried refreshing the page and nothing happens. Does anyone know why?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi!

  Just to make sure are you referring to views or visitors? A view is counted when a visitor loads or reloads a page. A visitor is counted when we see a user or browser for the first time in a given period (day, week, month).

  I also one to highlight that there are visits that WordPress doesn’t count:

  – Visits to uploaded documents and files
  – Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images
  – GoogleBot and other search engine spiders
  – Visits you make to your own publicly available blog (when logged in to your account)
  -Visits by users that are logged in, and listed as members of the blog

  It might also so be probable that the stats widget is broken or not properly recording stats.

  Thank you! Maybe the fact that they are going through a link on fb is affecting the stats.
