Statistics, Analytics via API

    I am researching the capabilities of WordPress and need to know what I can do with the API as it relates to stats and analytics. I would like to collect who is visiting, number of hits, etc via the API. I read a little about Google Analytics but this just puts the data in another location. I would like to be able to grab the data and post it to a custom dashboard if possible.

    We gather and show your WordPress.com hosted sites (and sites using the Jetpack plugin connected to your WordPress.com user account) stats in your site’s dashboard. You can read more about our stats here:

    You can also review the WordPress.com REST API documentation here if you want to develop your own stats views (NOTE: we can not assist with API questions or configuration):

    If you’re asking for a site using the WordPress open source software and hosted elsewhere, that isn’t related to us and our API. The WordPress API doesn’t appear to have any stats related endpoints, but you can review their documentation here:
