Stats

Recently when I receive notices of views on my stats, they only show home or homepage/ archives. Today I got one more on my ‘About’ page, but nothing about my blog posts yet two photographs on one of my blog articles was viewed. This does not make sense. Please explain. Thanks!

I don’t see anything out of place with your site or your stats. My best guess is that folks simply aren’t continuing past the home page.

I thought I replied, but I do not see it, so I will try again. The confusion is that today, I saw where two of my photographs in a blog article were viewed. These are not on the home page, but it does not show that that blog post was viewed. How can photographs in a blog article be viewed without opening up that actual blog article?

It’s possible they may have clicked through to the photos either from a subscription email or from the WordPress.com Reader.

You’re absolutely sure that the two people who viewed the images came from Facebook? Have you confirmed this with them?

That is was the stats are stating. It is very odd activity on the site in the last few days. Trying to dig in and find out what is going on through the stats page. It would be great if it was more user-friendly.

Visits from email subscribers won’t be counted as referrers, that’s why I suspect it’s where they came from.
