Stickies not working
-
Hi – apologies for the fact that this is probably my fault, but I can’t get stickies to work – on various different themes. I’m wanting a post to stay top of a categories page, linked from the menu on a static front page. The site is https://rmclubnationalrally2016.wordpress.com/, and the Accommodation category is where I’ve attempted a number of stickies! If what I’m trying to do is impossible, fair enough.
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By default, sticky posts remain at the top of your main blog page. There’s currently no way to post a sticky at the top of a category page.
Since your site is marked private, I’m really limited to what to suggest.
Some themes display a description on the category page, where you can add a link to a specific post. That’s what I’ve done on my site here: https://gammagirl.wordpress.com/category/gallery/ If available in your theme, you can add that in Dashboard>Posts>Categories. Hover your mouse over one of the categories and then select Edit.
Another option might be to link to that specific post as a featured post in your site’s sidebar using a text or Custom Menu widget, or directly in the Custom Menu itself.
If that didn’t answer your question, please post back.

Thank you very much. I’m pleased that I wasn’t doing something too stupid (apart from attempting the impossible), but sorry that I can’t do it. Your suggestion of the description sounds good, and may well be able to take the place of a sticky post, so I’ll go with that, & mark this resolved.
Thanks again
