Still unable to link self-hosted site to existing wordpress.com account

    I’m trying to tag posts to put in the Discover reader. They’re not showing up. I was told it was because I don’t have a WordPress.com account, except that I do. I have two. I’m responding while logged into one of them. I’ve linked JetPack to this account, and I can see Jetpack statistics on a WordPress.com account (before I linked, it said ‘you don’t have a WordPress.com account.) I don’t understand why I still can’t permanently connect my wordpress.org/self-hosted site on kajmeister.com to my WordPress.com accounts. What else might I need to do to create this appropriate connection? There are no Forum posts that address this. Please help. Thank you.
