  I have a domain active through google with an attached blog via blogger. Due to their poor sharing capabilities, I wish to use wordpress – yet I am still using the other site for now. I exported to see how it would look, but I am not ready for it to go live before I finish financials – I want to switch everything at the same time. Can I clear the data on this blog and come back to it later, when I transfer everything, including domain name?

  Here’s how you can empty the contents on your current site and make it Private (if you choose) until you are ready for the move:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ which are now under WPAdmin Dashboard>Settings>Reading>Site Visibility

  Also, WPcom does not accept incoming domain transfers, but you can map your existing domain to your WPcom site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
