stlye.css not showing but same code words in the customizer additional css

Hi All,
Can’t seem to rack my brains around this, if anyone can shed some light it will be greatly appreciated.
I have some css code that works when I use it in the customerizer – additional css (within wordpress), but when i try and add it to my style.css it doesn’t work.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
