storage higher after rescale

  I’m trying to rescale my pictures to lower resolutions tu use less space in WP admin, but my storage used keeps getting higher on the dashboard. Does wordpress keep a copy of the original file? how can i get rid of it to free some space and keep the lower scaled picture? Can i ”bulk” rescale?

  I’m afraid that the internal WordPress.com image resizer does not work like that. While it is a worthwhile suggestion for the future, it cannot be used to save storage space by resizing existing images at this time. Its current purpose is resizing for aesthetic purposes.
