Strange comments

    Good morning all,
    I just migrated to worpress.com recently, and there is this subject that asks me question:
    Currently, all people who comment for the first time must have my approval, which I do every time. Only among the notifications of moderation request that I receive, from time to time, I see this type of title:

    Article Title – My Site Name (instead of author name) added a comment on Title of the article

    The usual excerpt from the article …

    […] and here another excerpt of the article instead of a comment […]

    my question is:
    is it a bug?
    is it the comment of someone who did not identify himself (but suddenly, I do not see the comment, I can not do anything, or know who commented, I do not know of course the addresses IP of my knowledge and even less of other people …)
    is it spam? (but it would be more like an advertising message)
    Or other ?
    and what can I do to avoid it?

    This does not seem like spam. I think it is just the comment notification. Try editing your email notification settings as described on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/

    Thank you for your answer, In don’t know what I must change because, most of notifications are goods (moderation or usualy comments), only a few are “wrong”, it’s why I can’t understand what hapen…

    So the one you actually quoted is a Pingback, you can’t selectively turn off those notifications, but you can turn off Pingbacks in general: https://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/
