Struggling to change URL home site so it does not include the directory link

  I created a website. Then I decided to redo it. Original directory had https://yourwebsite.com/home. New webiste has https://yourwebsite.com/main. When I type in yourwebsite, it instantly takes me to https://yourwebsite.com/home and tells me ‘error establishing network connection.’

  How do I fix the URL to my site so that if somebody just types in https://yourwebsite.com it takes them to the site?

  What is the actual URL of the site you’re working on? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/forums instead.
