  I read that students can get a discount – is this true?

  Hi there,

  We ran a test with student discounts at one point last year, but that test was ended quite some time ago. At this time we don’t offer student discounts on WordPress.com, but you can set up a fully-functional website on our free plan already. Our upgrade plans just add optional extra features to your site, and aren’t required to have a site hosted here.
