Subdomain?
-
My wordpress site is located at my wordpress purchased domain, “TaddSipes.com.” I want to create a domain like “studio.taddsipes.com” for another site I run and use the domain I purchased from WordPress to do that. I think it’s called a subdomain. Is this possible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

O.K., so I’ve been waiting for a reply from the admin at the site I want to point to. Here’s what they say.
Hi Tadd,
I apologize for the wait. We do not use nameservers. Users need to set their site to forward or point to their Music Teacher’s Helper subdomain (http://blacksburgvoice.musicteachershelper.com).I’m stuck! Can you advise?

Great! We can work with that. Can you tell me the subdomain you’re trying to set up for the Music Teacher’s Helper site? Is it studio.taddsipes.com?

I just tried to set this up, but it looks like the way that Music Teacher’s Helper has their servers set up, a CNAME record won’t work correctly. It sounds like they just don’t support most of the standard ways people would map a domain to their sites, which is unfortunate.
My best suggestion for you is to create a menu link that directs to your site over there. Here’s our guide on customizing your menu:

Sorry we can’t get this working the way you want, but let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.
