  Hello how do I ‘Subdomain’ change in order to download the theme I want

  You need to also upgrade to a Business plan to upload the theme to a WordPress.com hosted site. https://wordpress.com/plans

  Once you upgrade, the option to upload your theme will be enabled. This note should also be displayed on the same page above where you saw the subdomain note.

  Or you can select a WordPress.com theme from https://wordpress.com/themes instead.
