Subdomain forward to wordpress and used on smugmug

    Hi! I have a domain through godaddy http://www.example.com and my website is with smugmug. i would like to have a blog with wordpress.com. what i am hoping to do is keep my website on smugmug, but when people click on my blog link in my menu, have them redirected to my wordpress blog with the subdomain blog.example.com.

    What type of plan on wordpress do i need in order to do this? Are their any guides to help me with this process? I have already forwarded blog.example.com to my example.wordpress.com site, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

    How do I make this happen?
