Subdomain mapping not working
-
I am working with the administrator of cetpa.net to have my current cetpalonerangers.wordpress.com site be accessible via lonerangers.cetpa.net. The CNAME record has already be configured at cetpa.net, so I believe all I need to do is add lonerangers.cetpa.net to my list of Domains, pay for the new service, and then set it to be the default. Correct? My issue is when I attempt to add a new subdomain, rather than getting prompted to pay for this new service, I get the following error message:
“Other subdomains of this domain are registered to another user at WordPress.com so you can’t use it for your site. Only that user can register other subdomains.”
How can this be when I am the ONLY listed User and I was the one that initially setup the account and the crafted the site (all two pages of it thus far)? My guess is I’m doing something improperly, but I’m stumped and would greatly appreciate someone’s help. Thanks in advance!!

Are you using these instructions?

Yes, and I’m stuck at step #2… “If everything is configured correctly, you will be prompted to pay for the upgrade and complete the mapping process.”
The CNAME “lonerangers.cetpa.net” has been setup by the cetpa.net Domain Registrar. So, I go to Store -> Domains and attempt to add the “lonerangers.cetpa.net” subdomain. Rather than getting the prompt to pay for the upgrade and complete the mapping process, I get the error as previously mentioned.
What am I missing and/or doing wrong?
