Subdomains
-
Hi there, I thought subdomains were included in all WordPress plans. However, when I try and map to the domain I already own, it says I have to pay £11. Is this right or am I doing something wrong? TIA, Anna.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Anna,
I don’t see any plan purchased from the account you’re using to contact us. Can you please let me know the site you’re referring to?
Please note that all the plans included one free domain credit. If you have already used that credit to register or map a domain, you have to purchase an additional one to map an extra one.

Hi Fstat,
Thanks for getting back to me!
This is the site https://hopeandstone.home.blog/
I think I understand what I’ve done wrong…. I thought I had to set up the account and then map to the subdomain. Should I have mapped to the subdomain whilst setting up the account (and not add a domain)? If so, is there anyway to undo this without purchasing another domain or do I have to delete this account and start again?

Yes, I already own another domain and I want to create a subdomain for my blog and map to that.

HI there,
https://hopeandstone.home.blog/ is on our free plan and you haven’t purchased anything from us yet. The free plan comes with a free subdomain which we create for you on our system, hopeandstone.home.blog in this case.
To add a custom subdomain on a domain you already own elsewhere, you’ll need our domain mapping upgrade, and adding that requires that you purchase one of our paid plans.
