  I want to get rid of the “just another wordpress blog” under the title of my header.

  You can change the Tagline in your Dashboard at ‘Settings’ -> ‘General’. Fill in your title in the field that says: ‘Tagline’ and save your settings by clicking the blue button that says ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the page.
