Subscriptions can't be activated on comments left on other blog sites

    I’m trying to activate subscriptions to comments left on other blog sites. Every time I do, I get this message: ‘Your subscription could not be activated. It may have expired, or the email address you subscribed with is not attached to your WordPress.com account.’ When I go to my Account Settings and change the email address to the one I use when commenting and save settings, I get a pop-up that says, ‘That email is already being used.’ (I originally had a wordpress.com blog before I started my WordPress website, which I made my primary site, so I think there is some confusion there but I don’t know how to fix it.)

    Hi there,

    So the email address you’re using for comments is connected to a different WordPress.com account than the one you’re logged in as. Do I understand correctly?

    What is the email address you’re trying to use to subscribe to comments? Type it on its own line and it will be hidden from public view automatically but I’ll be able to see it.
