Sudden & Inexplicable Drop in Traffic

    Hi,

    My blog has witnessed a sudden drop in traffic. The drop is more than 50%. My traffic is from organic search and the search in referrer is showing decreased views (I guess my site has suddenly stopped coming up in searches).

    I have not changed the layout nor have I updated/deleted any plugin/addons. I have a premium theme.

    My blog is cattybilli.com.

    I checked to see whether Google has penalized my site but my site is not blacklisted.

    The traffic is dropping day by day..

    Hi cattybilli,

    I’ve looked at cattybilli.com from our side and I can’t see any site issues that would be responsible for a drop in traffic, which suggests this is a natural fluctuation.

    I compared your current stats to those from this time last year and I can also see a drop there too. At the current traffic rate, the view and visitor numbers are likely to be similar to those from July, August and September 2017. We are only a few days into June so the number at the end of the month should be higher.

    It’s also worth noting that April 2018 has been one of your best months (congratulations!) so it’s safe to say views and visitors could go up or down from there.

    There is an overall drop in all referrals, not just search engines, which adds weight to this being a natural fluctuation rather than an issue with the site.
