suspect email

    received an email from ‘site specialist’ – are they to do with wordpress? the email gives a link for me to get my site submitted to search engines. the site it links to is over.gamedayassist.com/…. the email went into my spam folder.

    Hi there,

    That email does not sound like anything you’d get from us at WordPress.com. If you’d like us to take a look, you can forward us the email and we can confirm that. But from the sound of it, I’d leave it in your spam folder and ignore it — it sounds to me like spam.

    WordPress.com automatically send notifications to popular search engines and makes your site very search-engine friendly, so you don’t need to do anything more to submit your site to search engines. You can learn more about how we work with search engines here: Search Engines
