switching blog urls

  Hi, I’m trying to switch my blog addresses:

  I currently have two blogs; remusaurus.wordpress.com and remusang.wordpress.com, the former used as a personal blog while the latter functioning as a writing portfolio of sorts.

  I wanted to change remusaurus.wordpress.com to remusang.wordpress.com, and remusang.wordpress.com to remusangwriting.wordpress.com.

  I succeeded in changing remusang.wordpress.com to remusangwriting.wordpress.com but found that I could not change remusaurus.wordpress.com into remusang.wordpress.com because ‘the link is already in use’, when i have already changed that link.

  As such, I thought that you would be able to assist me in this change.

  I’m sorry, but once a site address has been changed, the original cannot be reused. There is even a very specific step warning of this when you do the site name change process:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again.
