Switching Domain Names

  whats the pros and how much does it cost to have my Domain names switched to wordpress?

  It’s more a personal preference type of thing, really.

  Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Both require any paid plan, so essentially the price is the same.

  So, basically, are you an “all of your eggs in one basket” type of person, or “not all of your eggs in one basket”? :)

  Thanks! I would prefer all in one basket, if it doesn’t cost more then just the plan!! :)

  You will have to upgrade to a paid plan, but then one domain transfer is included for free in the plan, and the domain will also be renewed for another year as part of the process. So whenever your domain is currently expiring, that will be extended for another year.

  Domain renewal is not included in the plan, though, so the next time the domain comes up for renewal it will be a separate payment from the plan’s renewal. You can find the prices at which various domains renew with us here:
