Switching emails on website/blogs

  I set up this account along time ago with my main email (email visible only to moderators and staff). I’ve since started another blog – http://jillburkemper.com through WordPress as well but I had to make a new email address. My original plan was to continue using that email address but I would like to change it so the main address linked to my site is (email visible only to moderators and staff) but it won’t let me- since it claims it’s already in use with the other WordPress account. My end goal – have one WordPress account – http://jillburkemper.com linked with the email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) instead of (email visible only to moderators and staff). I’ve deleted the websites affiliated with (email visible only to moderators and staff) but I still can’t use it for my other site! Help!

  It sounds like you want to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) for your account on jillburkemper.com, is that correct?

  An email address can only be used for one WordPress.com account. Do you wish to keep the current account associated with that email address?

  I was asking if my account with (email visible only to moderators and staff) can be completely deleted – so that I can move the website made with (email visible only to moderators and staff) can be affiliated with (email visible only to moderators and staff). Is there a way to migrate what I have on jillburkemper.com to the account (email visible only to moderators and staff)?

  If you no longer need the account connected to that email address (jmburkemper) it can be deleted, yes. This guide explains the process:

  The ‘Reusing email addresses’ section will be particularly useful in this case.

  If you only want to add your Gmail address to the username for that site (jillburkemper), you won’t need to migrate anything. Instead, you can update the email address for that account.

  Ultimately, the decision is which account you would like to use for the site, jillburkemper.com.
