switching plans

  Hi!
  I am planning on building a full on website in the future but we haven’t even launched our business yet, and I just need a blog for now.
  Is it possible to start with just a blog and then switch to a business plan later when our business is official?
  Will I be able to keep the blog AND have a website for the business if I switch plans?
  Thank you, I obviously don’t know much about these things!

  Hi Liz,

  You can upgrade from our free to our Business Plan, or any other plan, at any time, yes. Doing that won’t affect the content of your site at all.

  You can also change your site’s theme, or change the layout from a regular blog to a more businesslike site at any time, and it’s possible to have a traditional website with a blog/news section on WordPress.com. You can make all these changes to an existing site without losing or having to migrate any of your content on a WordPress.com site.
