I purchased a $99 package to get my site, thewh0lestory.com, up and running. AFter further review, I realize I want more control over my site and would like to go through wordpress.org so that I can build a better site. Do you offer a refund on the package? Even if it’s a partial refund? Thanks

I totally understand! I’d be happy to refund your WordPress.com Premium upgrade for you. Since you’ve used it to register a domain name, there are two ways we can proceed:
1) I can refund your entire Premium purchase, including your domainthewh0lestory.com. This will lead to a total refund of $99. Your domain will become unavailable for several weeks; after this period, anyone may purchase the domain name. If you’d like a complete refund, and are okay with the prospect of potentially losing thewh0lestory.com, this is the way you’ll want to proceed.
2) If you want to keep your domain, I can refund your Premium purchase, less the domain registration fee. This will lead to a total refund of $73. You will be able to continue to use your domain name, thewh0lestory.com with your new host with the WordPress install. Please note that your domain will still be registered through us and hosted elsewhere. Make sure to keep your domain’s registration renewed yearly through us. After 60 days from registration you can transfer the domain elsewhere if you wish.

I’m so sorry, but I didn’t see the date of the purchase. I thought you paid for it very recently. We only provide refunds up to 30 days, so I wouldn’t be able to provide you a refund. But you can still transfer the domain:

It was purchased back in June, so it isn’t possible for me to process a refund at this time. But I can provide you credit within the WordPress.com Store if you like. Unfortunately if you move to self-hosted, this wouldn’t be of any use. Would you like the credit?
