Switching to WordPress.org

    Hi,

    I currently have a website hosted with GoDaddy: http://www.karathecomputertutor.com. I also have a WordPress.com blog: karathecomputertutor.wordpress.com.

My website is very old, outdated, and a mess. I would like to convert karathecomputertutor.com to a WordPress.org blog. I then want to transfer my WordPress.com blog to karathecomputertutor.com. I just talked to GoDaddy and want to make sure I do this in the right order. Are the following steps correct?

    1. Have GoDaddy help me install WordPress on karathecomputertutor.com and archive my current website.
    2. Pay for a Guided Transfer to transfer everything on my WordPress.com blog to karathecomputertutor.com. (I’m very happy to pay someone to transfer everything.)
    3. Pay for a Site Redirect Upgrade.

Then my blog should appear at karathecomputertutor.com as a WordPress.org site. Is this correct?
    Thanks.
    Kara

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oops. I just read that the person helping me with my Guided Transfer can setup the WordPress.org install on karathecomputertutor.com for me, rather than having GoDaddy help me do it.

Sorry, I should have read the directions better.

    Kara
