Syntax highlighting not working

  I am using Live Writer and have used a number of various plugins, each failing to properly show any form of syntax highlighting. The latest was crayola (http://www.dotcastle.com/blog/crayon-syntax-highlighter-plugin-for-windows-live-writer-1-0-1) which also failed. I even tried to use the wordpress examples for adding syntax highlighting but that has failed me as well. Each time it shows a very simply text format in a gray box. I’m looking for a way to actually have proper syntax highlighting on my blog and appreciate any help that can be provided. I’ve also attempt to enable/disable the markdown settings as well but that hasn’t changed anthing.

  WordPress.com has a built-in syntax highlighter you can use for many languages. We have a guide for it here: Posting Source Code

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
