Tag doesn't take to proper post
-
I had decided to let only last post visible in my blog homepage, so that people do not need to scroll down the whole page to find and read the post they are looking for when getting to the blog through a search engine.
I thought this would have led them straight to the post reading through the tag.
Unfortunately I have just noticed the search engine takes them to my blog homepage, where the post may not be the info they were looking for, as the tag is related to a different post.
I wonder if this is just normal, if it is a problem with search engines, or how I could get people getting to the info they want to read.
I have also noticed the “Browse popular tags” does not get updated with more and more tag inserted recently.

How about using the More Tag to split your Posts so only a couple of paragraphs show on the front page, then your visitors can page down and see the first bit of a Post and then read more of it if they want – I think that would work better than the single Post – I use the More Tag to break my Posts and it helps to keep the site load quick but let visitors see other Posts easily without needing to page down through many screens of text to get to the next Post.

Thanks, Auxclass.
That could be an idea… anyway it does not solve the problem of scrolling down when we will have, as I expect, more and more posts listed in the homepage.
I just do not get why people are not redirected straight to the page of the single posts when searching for a particular tag…
