TAG number to transfer my domain from wix to wordpress?

    i have been told by wix i need a TAG number that i need to give them so they can transfer my site domain name over? how do i find this?

    Hi there,

    Do you perhaps mean a IPS tag? That’s what’s used to transfer .co.uk domains, like the groupfitwiltshire.co.uk domain you have mapped to us.

    To transfer a .uk domain, you need to get an IPS tag from the provider you’re transferring TO, so in this case Wix needs to provide you with that.

    That tag you then enter at the provider where your domain is registered, which in this case is Network Solutions.

    We at WordPress.com have absolutely no control over your domain, though, and have no access to your accounts at either Wix or Network Solutions to help you transfer that domain. You bought a plan from us earlier today and added a domain mapping upgrade for that domain, but all that does is to let you use the domain with your WordPress.com site, groupfitwiltshire.wordpress.com. It does not give us control over your domain itself.

    If you’re perhaps asking for our IPS tag to transfer the domain to us, that is not possible. We do not support incoming transfers of .uk domains at this time.

    So the mapping upgrade you’ve added is the only way to use that domain with us. You’ll need to keep the domain registration itself at Wix/Network Solutions, and change the name servers to point the domain to us, as explained in our domain mapping instructions:
