Taking over site

  We have paid a company to manage our website, but aren’t happy with the results we have gotten and would like to take it back. Ideally, we would like to start a website so I can copy the formatting on the current site, and then transfer our domain when we are ready to go live. What’s the best way to do this?

  Do you want to move from a self hosted WordPress.org site, to WordPress.com? If so, these steps will guide you through the process:

  You can start by creating a site with a free address (containing “.wordpress.com”), then map or transfer the existing domain to WordPress.com once you are ready to go live.
