Technical difficulties with WordPress website design

    Hello, so I ran into one issue which is causing me headaches. I just started designing my blog style website and I wanted some of my blogs(with images and headline) to appear in homepage, but I was unable to do that. Searched everywhere but couldn’t find any help, either some information didn’t help me at all or the information was outdated. I tried to put ,,latest blog” widget in my ,,home” page but nothing added, tried static page in ,,settings–>reading” section but it also didn’t work out and I didn’t want my website to show ,,your latest posts” in the same settings section. Is it possible to get some of my blogs on my homepage? Any help would help.

    The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff). It is not hosted by WordPress.com or connected with Jetpack. This site is not linked to my WordPress.com account.
