Templates too large

  Any template I attempt to create is oversized and runs off the screen. When I publish it, it’s the correct size, but while I’m trying to edit it I cannot see the full screen do you have visibility into what the page will look like upon publishing it. Please advise. I can’t seem to find a solution on Google.
