  Is it possibly to unpublish/deactivate our blog/web site without permanently deleting it?

  Hi there,

  If you don’t want your site online but you don’t want to delete it, you can just set it to private. Then it will only be visible to you and people you specifically give access to view it.

  You can find that option under My Site ->Settings:
