Test-driving WordPress

    I am currently using the free plan of WordPress to design a site. However, in the future, would it be possible for me to upgrade this currently free site to a real domain? (In other words, can I turn my site into a site with a real domain such as .com or .org?) I don’t want to be wasting my time designing with the free plan if there’s no way that I’ll be able to upgrade my site to a legit domain.

    Hi there,

    You can upgrade your site and connect a custom domain at any time, yes. Any content on your site will be completely unaffected – the content will just become accessible at the new domain in addition to the free address.

    Same if you later downgrade or remove the domain.
