Text on Homepage shows in preview mode but not on the site itself (Theme Twenty Seventeen)
-
Hi. I created a static page to be my homepage using the Twenty Seventeen free theme, but the text I wrote for display under ‘Home’, simply won’t show up on the site. The text starts showing up on the main site from my second page onwards. I can see the text in preview mode, under the page head ‘Home’ only, but when I click on ‘Visit Site’, the text meant to show right on top of my static page, under ‘Home’ no longer shows. The rest of the content flows well in the static page format, but minus the copy that should open my site.
I’m also having trouble with my Primary menu. It shows some ‘invalid pages’- I don’t understand what these mean. So, I ended up creating a Primary menu 2. Please help with resolving these situations.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi @lizdiz, can you clarify what opening text you’re referring to? I can see the part that begins “We believe in the power of good writing” but only after I scroll past a featured image of “Everyone needs a
n^good editor” . If that isn’t the text you’re thinking of, let me know what it should say.Re: the menus, that message just means you had some links that had changed and were broken. You can delete them from that menu, or make another one (as you did) and delete the old one. Just be sure to specify you menu location settings as you’d like, too.
