Text post issues

Hi, I’m trying to make a basic text post like I usually do, but when I hit publish (or save draft) nothing is happening except it will refresh the page and remove the last unsaved edit or the title, or take me back to the ‘all posts’ page. I’ve also been having trouble getting image files to upload into the library. I haven’t used wordpress much in the past year so something is probably out of date that is causing this. I’ve tried deactivating my classic editor, all plugins are up to date, and I’ve tried a different browser. No luck.
