Text Widget Inoperative

  Hi Friends,

  Text from my 4 text widgets does not display on my Blog (WordPress Twenty Ten theme). Currently I just have the word “test” in each text box.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In the blog linked to your username you’re using Supposedly Clean and you’ve got no text widgets.

  What text/code did you put in the text widgets? Paste it here between backticks, those little marks usually on the same key as the ~, so we can see what it looks like. It’s most probably banned code.

  In http://scottschneiderblog.wordpress.com/ , the four “Test” TWs show up in the footer. If you’re not seeing them, try clearing your browser’s cache.

  Hi Scott,
  Until we know exactly what you are typing into the text widget we cannot help you. Do note that if you are typing restricted codes in the text widget the software on this multi-user blogging platform will strip it out to preserve security. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  Volunteers are busy people. :) This is a clickable and therefore useful link http://scottschneiderblog.wordpress.com There are no text widgets in the sidebar of that blog. To post code to the forum we must place it between backricks. The backtick ` is found in lower case to the left of the umber one on the same key as the tilde ~.

  OH my! Panos is quite correct. I just scrolled to the bottom of that very long front page and there the text widgets are.

  @tt: I wasn’t expecting that either! Saw no TWs in the sidebar, so I continued with the source code of the page to see what’s wrong, and that’s where I found them…

  Thanks for checking and posting too. The widgets are obviously operating they are just way down at the bottom of that long front page.

  Thanks Guys! No wonder I couldn’t see them….feel like a fool. But thanks for all the good tips
