The Audio uploaded to my media library will no longer play

  I have a number of MP3 audio files (podcast episodes) uploaded into my Media Library (I purchased the 25GB upgrade, which I have checked the status of, it is still “Active”).

  This has always worked flawlessly, however, upon uploading a new episode tonight, I can no longer download or stream the files in my media library.

  If I attempt to play the audio through an audio tag in a WP post, the player remains at the “connecting” status, until it eventually times out.

  If I attempt to download the file through the full URL (taken from the media library), the “Save As” dialog does not appear. I have also noticed that none of the audio tags in my previous posts work any longer.

  Any ideas what’s happening here?

  Hm, I see the problem there under Chrome, but not any other browser. Are you using Chrome?

  Yes. Since when did the player not work in Chrome? It always used to.

  Is there an alternative player tag that works in all browsers?

  It seems to be working ok now, but I don’t really know why. I was trying for over an hour with no real luck, before trying in other browsers.

  We’re rolling out some rather major HTML5 updates to the audio player, so it will no longer require Flash to play under most browsers.

  It looks like this inability to play in Chrome was an unfortunate side-effect.
