The blog address is I want is taken, but the blog is deleted. Can I have it?

  I’m looking to register a new blog, and when I try to do so, it tells me that the address I want to use is taken. When I visit the address itself, WordPress tells me that the authors have deleted the site. Can I have that address?

  This is a question for WordPress management, but Support directed me here. I hope a WordPress team member will contact me!

  We do not reuse or reassign deleted blog names on WordPress.com. You will need to select a different blog name. For full details, please see this link:

  However, you also have the option to purchase a custom domain name and map that back to your WordPress.com blog. In that case, nobody would ever see the underlying WordPress.com URL. They would just see your purchased domain. For full details, please see this guide:
