the cost of transfering my former domain or renewing the former name

How much renewing the name of my former domain will cost? What is less expensive to renew it, create a new domain or mapping it? (in the long run)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
What is the domain name of your former URL? It’s not connected to the account you are contacting us from. I want to check and see if that domain is in a redemption period – if that is the case, then registering a new domain would be significantly cheaper.
Let me know and I will look into this for you.
Thanks,

Hello thank you for the answer,
1.I try to create site with another name: MarinaMVMphotography, is that possible;e to change the name?
2.My domain is http://marinamvmphotography.com
it is registered on Google Domains
3. can I know how cheap it will be?
Thank you very much for your help,
Marina -
Oh, this is me again. I’ve noticed that there is a big mistake. Long time ago I wanted to create website under the name of marinalens, but I failed and didn’t finish it. I’m eager to make a site with another name , which suits me better, and I started creating it under the name MarinaMVMphotography.
I really don’t know how the old name appeared. I don’t want it. And the domain I need was created on GoogleDomains. I am a bit confused and I don’t know how to get through all these problems. In any case this is what I am looking forward to doing:
1. creating a website under the name MarinaMVMphotography.
2.use my domain http://marinamvmphotography.com (which I bought on February 10 this year)
3. to find the cheapest variant of payment for the domain using the plan for 8$ per month for the site
My questions is it better to use transfer domain or mapping it in my situation? How much I will pay eventually ( this year and next year on?)
Thank you for you help, I don’t get pension ( my age is above 65) and money matters for me, Marina -
Hi there,
With transferring your domain:
- Domain registration and billing will be moved from your current provider to WordPress.com
- Manage your domain and site from your WordPress.com dashboard
- Extends registration by one year
With mapping your domain:
- Domain registration and billing will remain at your current provider
- Manage some domain settings at your current provider and some at WordPress.com
- Requires changes to the domain’s DNS
- $13.00 per year plus registration costs at your current provider
With the plans available, the domain price is included the first year and then it renews at its regular price the following years. So, if you chose the personal plan for example, the first year would be $60 for the first year and then $78 the following year. The difference in prices for transferring vs mapping would depend on how much it cost at your current domain host.
Here are the following plan and their prices:
