The limitations of our little site

    We have been using WordPress as a free site for a very small sailing club. I am trying to bring our membership into the 20th century but I do not see the full list of options in our dashboard that are mentioned in the many tutorials on how easy is is to build a wordpress site.
    Where am I going wrong?

    Hi there,

    This is a site that was set up by someone else, yes? I see that you were invited to log in to the site by the site owner, but they assigned you the role of “Editor” and not “Administrator” which would explain why you would not see all site functions.

    Please contact the owner of this site, and ask that they increase your account priveleges to “Administrator” which they can do by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/user-roles/#changing-user-roles

    Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
