The new post page is seriously broken AKA WordPress lost my post
-
Please exceuse my language and tone — I am pissed.
I just got home from work and had two posts I really wanted to write. So I logged into my WordPress.com blog and clicked on “New Post”. I wrote the post. Then I looked for a “Save as draft” button. There was none. So I clicked on the gear — maybe it would give me more options? Nope. It takes me to my settings page. Not what I want. I click the “back” button on my browser. My post is gone. Fuck.
How does Automattic not realize this is a problem? Am I just weird that I want a quick way (other than PressThis) to throw some words on the page and *save them as a draft*, for later polishing?
Why doesn’t that form have some sort of autosave — the ‘normal’ new post page does — the one with all the distracting bells and whistles (thank God for fullscreen mode).
Why doesn’t Automattic get their shit together with this one? They have it right elsewhere, but the “real” new post page requires several clicks, whereas easy-to-find new post page (found in the grey bar at the top of every page) has nothing except a goddamn publish button, no save button, no autosave feature and no save-as-draft button. W.T.F?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com automatically saves the last 25 revisions for each post on your blog.
Might your post be one of these drafts? https://justblogco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post
