the website acorc.ca is sometimes not connecting

    This domain acorc.ca points to acorcblog.wordpress.com – a free wordpress site.
    It works in most places, but has been down for weeks when accessing it from one place in Ontario.
    Any ideas why?
    I have contacted the domain registrar and they say it is pointing correctly and to talk to wordpress about their servers, but that is not helpful, since going directly to the redirection works everywhere.

    Hi there,

    The site, acorc.ca, is hosted with GoDaddy, and is using the self-hosted WordPress.org software. That site has no connection at all to WordPress.com, and we have no access to it.

    If that domain is pointing to a WordPress.com site, it was done via domain forwarding and masking at your domain provider as neither the name servers nor the IP address are pointing to us, and there is no domain mapping upgrade on our end to connect the domain here.

    As such we have no control over how the domain is connected to your site, and we’re not able to help. We don’t recommend domain masking and forwarding at all, as it prevents your site from working correctly.
