  • Hi there, WordPress.com sites are hosted on WordPress.com, and we don’t allow uploading of third-party themes.

It sounds like you may be logging into your WordPress.com dashboard instead of the dashboard of your site hosted at OVH.

The domain trespimientos.com is mapped to a WordPress.com site at the moment, which is why you’re not seeing your self-hosted dashboard here: http://trespimientos.com/wp-admin – you’re seeing your WordPress.com site instead.

Just to be clear, WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress sites are two different things – you can read more here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

If your self-hosted WordPress site has already been set up over at OVH, you have two options. You can ask OVH for the temporary URL that you can use to develop the site on, before you’re ready to point trespimientos.com to it. Or, if you’re ready for folks to see the self-hosted site now, you can log into your domain manager and change the domain’s name servers to the ones provided by OVH.

Let me know if you need further help.

    hi, thank you for helping.

I first bought the domain with wordpress.com; i then bought a theme in theme forest and realized that it would not work with wordpress.com and that is why i tried to do the self-hosting with OVH. then i tried to upload the theme and i think i did the wright process. in my domain manager i still have wordpress and ovh at the same time. what should i do to be able to set it up through wordpress and be able to see my theme?

  • Hi again, if you want to point trespimientos.com to your self-hosted site now, you’ll need to follow this guide to change name servers so they point to your hosting account at OVH. You’ll need to ask OVH what their name servers are.
