Theme

My theme does not show up when I import over my ftp. I am certain that I am putting it in the correct folder but as I read the instructions for installing the theme, they state, ” click on appearance, themes, then click on install/ activate the new theme. The problem is that the theme is not available in my themes list and is causing difficulty in getting my site up and running. Any insight into how to move forward on this side of things would be greatly appreciated.

Themes purchased elsewhere can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com, but we offer over 210 themes, both free themes and premium themes created by leading theme companies! You can view all of our themes at http://theme.wordpress.com/ and filter them by specific criteria under “Find a Theme”.
Additionally, with the Custom Design upgrade, you can further customize any of our themes by changing the fonts and colors, and editing the CSS:
