    Hi there, I’m completely new to all of this and am very confused. I would like goal is to eventually have an ecommerce shop using wordpress. I have been advised to try out wordpress for free first to see if I like it. I want to add the woocommere plug in and as far as I know it works best using a woo theme. Is it possible to download a wootheme to use in my wordpress.com site or must it be a wordpress.ORG site???

    While plugins are common on self hosted WordPress sites, due to security concerns, they are not available on WordPress.com. There is more info regarding WordPress.com and plugins here:

    In general, if you are looking to set up a store or ecommerce system, WordPress.com is not going to be the easiest solution. Most people on WordPress.com simply link to their Etsy or other store pages as there is no ecommerce functionality available through WordPress.com.
