Theme Comparison

  Hello! Is there a place on WordPress to learn specific options and limitations for themes before ‘choosing’ a theme? I’m wanting to compare typography options, navigation, widgets, header, and color palette options between themes. Where can I compare theme options and limitations?

  Hi there,

  You can find all themes we offer on WordPress.com in our theme showcase at My Site ->Design ->Themes.

  At the bottom of the showcase page for each theme you’ll find feature tags for the features the theme supports, and at the top a demo link where you can see an actual site using the theme, but the only way to see the finer details is to actually try the theme.

  In the theme showcase, click the … icon on the theme card and select the Live Demo option. That will open a preview of the demo site, with the Try and Customize button. Clicking that will take you to the Customizer for your own site with that theme loaded so you can check what options are available there before activating it.

  I also find it handy to have a spare site in my account I use just for trying out new themes.
