Theme not centrated in IE8

  I found a theme that I like very much and would like to udse for my WP website http://www.andersekborg.nu

  On my computer at home, where I use IE110 and Google Chrome, it looks great, but when I look at the theme from work, where I use a big screen with IE8, it looks terrible! The theme is not centrated or limited. The slider is placed to the left and the text is floating out over the whole screen. It´s not possible to use it. Is there anything I cvan do about it, to make it look OK also in IE8?

  Sorry to say that IE8 (and barely IE9) is supported in most places on the web these days, and that includes not only WordPress.com but also Google and Microsoft itself.

  For web browsing, if you are not able to upgrade to IE10, it’s time to move to either FF or Chrome. Both are supported on WinXP and up.

  Well, I work on the Swedish Social Security Office with about 16 000 employed. We all have the same browser, and I wish I just could tell them to change, but I can´t… On my home computer there is no problem at all, and I Always change to the newest browser. I will try to finns Another theme.

  I’m sorry. I’ve overlooked that the site you linked to above andersekborg.nu is not hosted on WordPress.com. What is the address of the WordPress.com site you need help with, starting with http:// to make it clickable?

  If you are referring to a website using the standalone version of WordPress, you should seek help over at http://wordpress.org/support/ and you will also find there many more themes available for standalone WordPress installs.

  For clarity, WordPress and WordPress.com are different entities. You can read more about the differences here: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Thank you very much for your information, and I´m sorry for my mistake! I use a standalone version of WordPress. I knew about the choise to use a blog/website hosted on WordPress.com and to use WordPress on your own domain, but I thought the themes were the same, and possible to use on both, and I also thought the support forum was the same. I will try to find Another theme, and ask further questions on http://wordpress.org/support/
