Theme Re-Activation (Purchased)

I purchased a WordPress theme in 2016, and the site I used it on is no longer active. I’d like to use the same theme on a new site but I show no purchase history in my account. Is there a path for this? Thanks.

Are you talking about a WordPress.com Premium theme purchased here and a WordPress.com account and site? Can you share further details.

Does that mean the site still exists but isn’t being updated or have you deleted the site? A Premium theme here at WordPress.com can be transferred between sites by staff but only if you haven’t already asked staff to delete the theme.

Yes, I purchased a premium theme, however the original website I used it on is no longer in existence. I would like to build another site with a new domain provider and use the originally purchased theme. I hope this clarifies a little. Thanks so much for your quick response. /gj

You still haven’t shared the name of the theme (or site). A WordPress.com site with a Premium theme can only be deleted if you had asked staff to already delete the Premium theme. Consequently it won’t be available to use even here at WordPress.com. Most WordPress.com Premium themes cannot be transferred to a site hosted elsewhere using the WordPress.org software.
(some Automattic themes can be used elsewhere but only if you purchase a Guided Transfer).
